Our Inspirations

Thorncrown Chapel

I was 18 years old when I first visited Thorncrown Chapel in Eureka Springs, Ar.  A beautiful little glass chapel tucked away in the nature of the Ozark mountains
As I sat on the bench reading the story of one mans dream to build this chapel my heart was moved. I left that day with a dream of my own to someday build my own little chapel so that others might also be inspired to dream.

Although I wouldn't say we were poor, but my family didn't have the means to experience the amazing places and  sights our country has to offer. My first trip to the Great Smoky Mountains was like a dream, I had never seen such natural beauty. Cades Cove was one of the places we visited on our trip. the homesteads and history frozen in time here is breath taking. It was in the Cove that my dream for a chapel surfaced once again.

Cades Cove Missionary Baptist Church

As I stepped inside this beautiful white washed chapel, I felt that peace that I had felt when I visited Thorncrown chapel, this place was holding onto all of the love and faith of every person that had come to know God within its walls. it was if you could hear the harmonizing of hymns hanging in the air. I knew that my chapel had to be one that "held onto" the memories made there. The little country chapel was the only style fitting to bear the name Grace Chapel.
